I packed this for a weekend away because it did not require complicated styling. Flat sandals during the day, a low heel and earrings in the evening, and it worked for both. The linen wrinkled in the normal, relaxed way rather than looking crushed, and the side split made it comfortable for longer walks.

I usually associate gingham with very casual summer dresses, but the V-neck and longer length make this one feel much more grown-up. I wore it with tan sandals and a structured bag for lunch, and it looked relaxed without feeling childish.

The linen has the natural texture I was hoping for, and the dress did not cling when the temperature went up. The checks give it enough personality that I did not need to add much else.

Although this dress is quite roomy, it still gives off plenty of style; and I appreciate the subtle gingham print. (So much more interesting than always wearing a plain white dress!) I think this will be a lifesaver in hot weather.

Delivery came within the stated window, and the parcel was undamaged. In person, the woven check has depth that a flat print cannot reproduce, while the seam through the middle gives the roomy dress enough structure to look intentional.

Please make this in a blue and white check too. The sage version has already earned a regular place in my summer wardrobe.
