Wool Asymmetric Panel Long Sleeve Top ROSALEE

Grey is one of my most useful colours, though I can end up with very similar clothes. The uneven hem changes that here. It gives a little movement to the outline even when the rest of the outfit is simple. Long sleeves keep the upper part tidy, and I like how the buttons follow the diagonal instead of sitting down the centre. It feels distinctive without needing a bright colour or print.

I wouldn't tuck this into a waistband. The angular finish is its best feature, and showing it fully makes a simple trouser outfit much more interesting.

That diagonal panel makes a plain grey top feel quite different.

This also looks lovely with a plain long bottom and low boots. Keeping the fabrics solid lets the unusual top retain the focus.

A shorter outer layer would let the hem show underneath. I like the idea of that small angled detail peeking below an otherwise simple jacket.

I checked the website for the wool content and stretch description. It is a blend with gentle give, which suits the relaxed shape and the more structured diagonal detail I was choosing it for.

The substantial material helps the uneven hem look deliberate. I like that the body is relaxed while the front panel supplies a more definite line, particularly with simple bottoms and a plain bag.

Ordering this was a small step away from my usual smooth jumpers. Flint Grey still goes with most of my work clothes, but the diagonal panel adds a new line to a familiar outfit. I chose M for a roomy silhouette and would wear it over slim trousers with flat shoes. The long sleeves remain uncomplicated, which is a good balance when the detail is concentrated across the lower front.

The relaxed shape and diagonal construction appeal to me. I'd be interested in this top in a warm taupe for the same easy outfits.

My choice would be charcoal trousers, silver studs and flat shoes for an afternoon exhibition. Tucking this top in would lose the point of it! I want the uneven edge on show, with enough room underneath for everything to hang freely.

I have plenty of plain tops but very few with an interesting hem. This looks particularly good over narrow black trousers, where the diagonal across the front remains easy to see. The body is roomy, so it doesn't rely on a close fit to create a shape. The fabric has enough substance to support the panel detail. I kept my jewellery small and let the construction provide the interest for the outfit.
